Audience Availability & Minimum Thresholds
OriginalVoices is powered by real people, not simulated data or synthetic personas. Because every response comes from Digital Twins of real people, some audience definitions may not yet have enough representation to generate meaningful insight.
If the audience requested does not meet our minimum availability threshold, the API will return a 422 error.
When This Happens
We do not generate, estimate, or hallucinate responses where real representation does not exist. You may see this response when:
- The requested audience is extremely niche or narrowly defined
- Multiple filters overlap and reduce eligible matches
- The demographic or behaviour-based criteria are rare in our current network
- The region or segment is still being built out
Why We Enforce This
This safeguard ensures that every response:
- Reflects real people
- Meets a minimum quality and reliability standard
- Avoids misleading insights
Our network is growing rapidly, and unsupported audiences today will likely become available as new users join and train their Digital Twins.
What You Can Do
If you encounter the 422 response, try:
- Broaden your targeting — simplify the criteria or remove restrictive filters
- Remove single highly restrictive filters — drop the narrowest constraint first
- Use a more general audience definition — start broad, then narrow down
Growing The Network
We continue to expand geographic coverage, demographic diversity, and niche topics or interests. Over time, more specific and rare audience types will become available via our Digital Twin network.
