MCP server

OriginalVoices runs a hosted Model Context Protocol server. Any MCP client or agent framework can connect to it. For Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other assistants, follow Connect your assistant instead.

https://api.originalvoices.ai/mcp

It uses the Streamable HTTP transport. Authenticate with either:

  • An API key: X-Api-Key: YOUR_API_KEY
  • OAuth: Authorization: Bearer ACCESS_TOKEN, for clients that sign in with OAuth.

    { "question": "Which matters most in a running shoe?", "choices": ["Price", "Comfort", "Style"] },
    "Why did you pick that?"
  ]
}

It returns each Twin's answers with a low, medium or high confidence, plus a count and percentage per option for choice questions. Billing is per answer, as with the API.

list_audiences

Lists the saved audiences your organisation can ask. Pass an id from the result to ask_twins as audienceId.

list_studies

Lists your organisation's finished studies, with participant counts and questions. Pass an id from the result to ask_twins as studyId.

Local server (npm)

For clients that only support stdio, @originalvoices/mcp-server runs the same three tools locally:

json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "originalvoices": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["@originalvoices/mcp-server"],
      "env": { "ORIGINALVOICES_API_KEY": "your-api-key" }
    }
  }
}

Prefer the hosted server where your client supports it: there's nothing to install or update.
