Not enough Twins

Error: 422 insufficient_twins, or your assistant says too few people matched.

Every answer comes from a real person's Twin. When an audience doesn't have enough matching Twins, we return this error instead of inventing answers. It usually happens when:

• The audience is very niche, or several filters overlap
• The traits you asked for are rare among Twins
• The region or segment is still being built out

Fix it:

1. Drop the narrowest filter first.
2. Describe the audience by demographics, and move topics into the questions. See Writing good questions.
3. Start broad, then narrow down.

New people join all the time. Need a specific audience? Ask us at support@originalvoices.ai and we may be able to recruit for it.

Question blocked

Error: 422 policy_violation

A question breaks the content policy. Rephrase it around general experiences or attitudes.

Out of credits

Error: 402 insufficient_balance

Top up in the platform. An ask costs participants × questions answers.

My assistant doesn't use OriginalVoices

• Mention it by name: "Use OriginalVoices to ask…"
• Check that the connector is enabled for this chat. In ChatGPT, add it through + → More.
• Copilot Studio agents need Generative Orchestration turned on.
• If it was working before, disconnect and reconnect to refresh the sign-in.

Requests time out

An ask takes tens of seconds, and longer for described audiences. Give your HTTP client a timeout of a few minutes.
